Here at Addictive, we strive to craft coffee that not only tastes amazing, but whole-heartedly respects the environment, the livelihoods of the people who grow our product, and the consumer.
We want to start a conversation that redefines how the coffee industry thinks about sustainability, and are constantly seeking ways we can limit our environmental impact.
Plant-based, Compostable Bags
While plastic tossed today could live until 3020, our consumer packaging comes from nature and will return there in 2-4 months.
Our plant-based, non-GMO, biodegradable bags lead the industry by being compostable down to the zipper and valve. While many other “100% compostable” packaging must be delivered to a recycling facility, ours will thrive in your backyard compost.
Our Steeped single-serve packs are “Guilt-Free Packaging,” being 100% compostable, renewable, and non-toxic. They even enhance the soil as they decompose, reflecting how we want to leave our world better than when we started.
We strive to provide the utmost transparency with our supply chain by directly communicating with small farmers. We provide our farmers with fair, livable wages to ensure not only their prosperity, but the well-being of their families and communities.
Our sustainable practices at our San Rafael HQ emulates our company-wide initiatives to limit our carbon footprint. We’ve partnered with Marin’s Food 2 Energy program, which diverts our coffee grounds from landfill to generate renewable energy, powering the central Marin wastewater treatment facility.
